It’s Wednesday

The Good News, the neighbor’s truck doesn’t seem to be going off all night long. The Bad News, it’s still waking us up at ungodly hours in the morning.

Despite having lost another 2.2 pounds as of this past Saturday, I don’t think I am going to count it. The last 2 – 3 days have been bad for comfort eating and eating to stay awake. Ugh. Haven’t stepped on the scale or Wii in a few days. Not really looking forward to it. Lots of carbs (completely not Gluten-Free). It was bad. Doing much better today.

Ran across this, this morning and had to share.

Buddhist Blessing for Food

Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space
combine to make this food.
Numberless beings gave their lives
and labors that we may eat.
May we be nourished
that we may nourish life.

Scottish Blessing

May the blessing of light be on you
Light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire,
So that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it.
And may light shine out of the two eyes of you,
Like a candle set in the window of a house,
Bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm.

May the blessing of the rain be on you,
May it beat upon your Spirit
And wash it fair and clean,
And leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines,

May the blessing of the earth be on you,
Soft under your feet as you pass along the roads,
Soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day;

We have everything, except sour cream and maybe butter. Double check and add to grocery list.

  2. When I started paying more attention to when I was eating and why, I realized that I was eating a LOT because I was tired. It’s amazing what we can learn about ourselves by just paying attention. I’m glad you’re doing better!
