Most of this weekend’s plans were cancelled due to rain or allergies.

Saturday was supposed to include a Harvest Open House but the rain cancelled that. And Ryne was a grump so we vegged at home.

Sunday was supposed to include a Halloween Pizza Party but Ryne’s eczema is really bad at the moment and we thought not allowing him to eat pizza when everyone else was would be too cruel so we skipped it.

So we had breakfast out, it was packed! Then we when to the local dscount warehouse to get our case of Jones Soda and weekly lunch snacks.

Dh asked ds what he wanted to do, he said go for a walk. So dh drove to Harkness, despite the wind or maybe because of the wind, we had a blast. Run agains the wind. Throwing a ball that kept curving with the wind. Just a lovely time.

We all came home and took a nap after that trek. It was interesting to see how much getting dark earlier can effect our sense of time. Even with the nap everyone was in bed by 9.

  1. sounds like the trip to Harkness really topped off the weekend nicely.

    • Yes it was a great time. I wish I had my camera on me, left on the desk. Between the water and all of bundled up vagabond style (whatever we could find in the van) I am sure we made quite the picture making fools of ourselves.
The coolest memento I have is mum that dried perfectly. Ryne found it on the ground and gave it to me.
